PURPOSE: This public hearing is being conducted pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 130A-39, which allows a Board of Health to protect and promote the public health by adopting rules necessary for that purpose. Per the same General Statute, the Board of Health can repeal any local board of health rule.
This public hearing is to receive public input regarding repeal of Lenoir County’s Tattoo Rule. The Board of Health is considering repealing this rule, which requires more frequent inspection of Tattoo Businesses. All interested citizens are invited to attend and present their views in person at the hearing.
