Planning Board

The Lenoir County Planning Board develops policies, ordinances, administrative procedures, and other planning-related duties, studies areas within zoning jurisdiction, determines objectives to be sought in the development of study areas, prepares and recommends to the Board of County Commissioners a Land Use Plan, advises the County Commissioners on all proposed plats of land subdivision that fall under purview of the Planning Board, reviews and advises on requests for rezoning property and special use permits, among other things.
