NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on May 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM, in the Lenoir County Administration Building, Commissioner’s Chambers (2nd Floor), 101 N. Queen Street, Kinston, NC 28501, to receive public input regarding a proposed financial contribution to the Lenoir County Development Alliance.
The County is considering a one-time contribution of $91,750 to support the transition and initial operations of the Lenoir County Development Alliance, which is being established as a public-private partnership to enhance economic development efforts in Lenoir County.
This public hearing is being conducted pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 158-7.1, which requires a public hearing before a county appropriates funds for economic development purposes. All interested citizens are invited to attend and present their views in person at the hearing.
