The Lenoir County Board of Commissioners will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, June 7, 2021, during the regular meeting of the Commissioners which begins at 9:00 a.m. at the NC Cooperative Extension/Lenoir County Center located at 1791 NC-11, Kinston, NC, in accordance with N.C.G.S. 159-12(b) for the purpose of taking comments from the public with regards to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget, as proposed and submitted by the County’s Budget Officer on May 3, 2021. At the time of the Public Hearing, the Board may adopt the FY21-22 Budget and Budget Ordinance or they may adopt these measures at a later date, but no later than June 30, 2021. The recommended date for adoption of these measures is Monday, June 7, 2021.
The Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget, as submitted, for Lenoir County Government, proposes General Fund Appropriations of $66,991,951 and revenues of $66,991,951 with a tax rate of $.845 per $100 valuation of property listed in Lenoir County for taxation as of January 1, 2021.
