Program Integrity – Preventing Fraud With Public Funds
Program Integrity staff ensure the integrity and accountability of public funds. Customers may receive too much assistance as a result of an intentional or unintentional act when giving information to their caseworker.
If it is determined that a customer received more benefits than he or she was eligible to receive, action is taken to collect the overpayment.
Our department takes seriously the prevention and investigation of suspected fraud so that benefits are available to individuals that are eligible.
