Pursuant to Section 324, Title III of the 1986 Federal Superfund Amendment and
Reauthorization Act (SARA) of 1986 (PL-99-499), the following information is provided in
compliance with the Community Right-to-Know requirements of the SARA law, and the
open meetings and open records provisions of the N.C. statutes. Members of the public
may contact the Lenoir County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LCLEPC), by

The Lenoir County LEPC (LCLEPC) normally conducts its meetings annually at the Lenoir
County Emergency Services building, located at 200 Rhodes Ave., Kinston, NC, 28501,
(no mailbox); or at other locations throughout the county, in accordance with the NC
Open Meetings Law-G.S. 143-318. Members of the public are notified of regular or
special meetings via the local newspaper and on the Lenoir County Emergency Services
website via the Internet (lenoircountync.gov/emergency-servicesdepartment/emergency-management).
The county Emergency Response Plan (ERP) can be found on the Lenoir County
Emergency Services Department website. Committee records, Tier II information, etc.,
can be reviewed by calling Lenoir County Emergency Services from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
(EST), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weekends at 252-559-1911. The
